The public evening lecture cancelled during the conference of the German Quaternary Association DEUQUA 2022 on the topic 'Connecting Geoarchives' will be rescheduled on Wednesday, 16.11.2022, at 19:00.

Professor Dr. Jörg Pross (University of Heidelberg) will speak on the topic:

Die Rolle der Paläoklimatologie in der aktuellen Klimadebatte: Potenziale und Herausforderungen

The lecture begins with a summary of the history of research on anthropogenic climate change, briefly portraying its most important protagonists and their findings. Based on this, the lecture spans an arc to the requirements that palaeoclimatology must face from the perspective of today's state of research with regard to future climate conditions.
The lecture is in German and will be offered as a live stream.

The presentations will be held via Zoom. Access upon request.
