Dear colleagues,

With great pleasure we herewith announce the Geo.X Grow Your Idea workshop “Identifying value-judgements in climate impact science” on June 20 and 21, 2024 at PIK. This two-day, on-site only event will consist of hands-on analysis in which we will together explore how value-judgements influence our work, as a prerequisite to managing such influence, relevant for the role that our science plays in society. Identifying differences and commonalities between the different sub disciplines all concerned with climate impacts represented within the Geo.X network will be of particular interest.

The exploration will be aided by the contributions from external guests including keynote input from Matt Brown (Southern Illinois University) and Julie Jebeile (University of Bern) as well as further input by Ahmad Elabbar (Cambridge University), Karoliina Pulkkinen (University of Helsinki), and Lukas Beck (London School of Economics).

For more information and registration (before April 1, 2024) please visit https://eveeno.com/geox_value-judgement_06_2024.

We look forward to seeing many of you there.

Kind regards,

Sabine Undorf, Till Armbruster, Patrick Klösel, Franziska Funke, and Lukas Beck
