Geo.X Focus Goup Exoplanets: "Exoplanet EXCHANGE: A Berlin‐Potsdam Roundtable"

Dear colleagues from the Geo.X network,

We invite you to join us for the upcoming Geo.X focus group Exoplanets meeting: Exoplanet EXCHANGE: A Berlin‐Potsdam Roundtable. This meeting focuses on initiating collaborative research on exoplanet science, combining expertise from different institutes.

Date: 4 December 2026

Place: Freie Universität Berlin, Malteserstr. 74-100, 12249 Berlin

Summary

The FG Exoplanets fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange among research groups in the Berlin‐Brandenburg region that specialize in exoplanet characterization. By bringing together experts dealing with exoplanet interiors, atmospheres, star ‐ planet interactions, and host stars, we aim to create a more comprehensive understanding of extraterrestrial planets. This provides, in addition, opportunities for early career scientists to explore diverse research possibilities within the region and connect with experienced researchers. Moreover, such collaboration will solidify the Berlin‐Potsdam region's position for exoplanet research in Europe and significantly enhance our ability to characterize exoplanets.
This is the announcement for the fourth meeting, which will take place at the Freie Universität Berlin (Campus Lankwitz). We aim to discuss possible projects for collaboration, have scientific talks, and foster collaborations among exoplanet research groups. This roundtable is open to all scientists working in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. If you want to attend the meeting, please write an email to engin.keles@fu-berlin.de. Note that there is limited space for registration.

Registration Deadline: 20 November 2026

With best regards,
Engin Keles
