Workshop: Communicate, Connect, Collaborate – Early Career Scientists Beyond Disciplinary Boundaries
Join our one-and-a-half-day in-person workshop for hands-on training in science communication, interdisciplinary exchange, networking, and collaborative proposal development. Refine your research pitch, develop a mini-proposal in interdisciplinary teams, present it concisely, and get constructive feedback from experienced researchers.
Today’s researchers are increasingly expected to work across disciplinary boundaries, develop competitive proposals, and communicate complex ideas clearly – often within only a few minutes. This workshop offers a supportive space to practise these skills.
Dates: 21–22 September 2026
Location: GFZ Potsdam – Telegrafenberg, Germany
Format: In person
The workshop is aimed primarily at doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and other early-career scientists. Participation is free of charge, but places are limited – priority is given to applicants from Geo.X partner institutions. Register by 22 August 2026 for priority consideration. Participants cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
