Uplifting Africa: Why is it so high and how and when did it get up there?

As part of his visit to the GFZ, Professor Roderick Brown, the University of Glasgow, will present his work on the long-term landscape evolution of southern Africa. Brown is using a combination of numerical modelling, low-temperature thermochronology (both AFT and U-Th/He analyses) and cosmogenic nuclide analyses, and his presentation should be interesting to a wide audience.
