The 5th International Conference on 3D Geo-Information (3D GeoInfo 2010)
will be held this year on 3-4 November and is carried out by the
Institute for Geodesy and Geoinformation, Berlin University of Technology.
The workshop is supported and jointly organised under the auspices of
- ISPRS Working Group IV/8
- Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC),
- European Spatial Data Research (EuroSDR),
- German Society of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and Geoinformation
(DGPF) e.V., and
- Berlin University of Technology.
3D GeoInfo 2010 continues the successful workshop series of the last
4 years. The workshop aims at bringing together international participants
from academia, industry and government in the field of 3D geo-information
science and offers an interdisciplinary forum.
Researchers, scientists, and developers are invited to submit
unpublished work (for full paper review) until the April, 30th 2010.
The addressed topics include:
- innovative and advanced approaches for 3D/4D geodata modeling
and management
- 3D GIS and 3D spatial databases
- 3D object reconstruction and interpretation
- 3D geodata analysis and 3D geo-algorithms
- 3D geovisualisatiuon; virtual digital globes
- virtual modeling of 3D landscapes, cities and buildings; 3D modeling
of underground structures; 3D/4D models of the earth system
- multi representations; scale and levels-of-detail
- modeling, representation and assessment of data qualities
- novel applications of 3d geoinformation like training and environmental
simulations; 3D cadastres; 3D networks; disaster management and risk
analysis; 3D indoor and outdoor navigation
Reviewed, accepted and selected contributions will be published in
a volume of the Springer book series "Lecture Notes in Geoinformation
and Cartography".
Besides the submission of full contributions the possibility will be
given to submit extended abstracts at a later date. The accepted papers
from these contributions will be published on CDROM (also with ISBN).
An industrial exhibition is planned.
