Join our Geo.X Summer Meeting "Planetary and Space Science in Geo.X"

 

To all scientists, students and colleagues from the administrations in the Geo.X Research Network:

We cordially invite you to our Geo.X Summer Meeting 2024. This year, our meeting will take place at the Archenhold-Sternwarte and focus on "Planetary and Space Science in Geo.X".  Our programme includes welcome addresses and short presentations on various exciting aspects of planetary and space science from the network. A highlight, as every year, will be the pitches from the newly appointed professors in the network.

Get-Together with food and drinks
During the summer meeting, there will be special and fascinating exhibits from DLR to discover, such as meteorite samples and thin sections, including lunar and Martian samples that can be examined with a polarisation microscope, as well as devices for Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy to determine the elemental composition of rock material. The company Neurospace will present its moon rover. The "Museum of Celestial Science" of the Archenhold-Sternwarte will be open during the event.

 

 

Venue

The  Archenhold-Sternwarte is located in Alt-Treptow 1, 12435 Berlin in the beautiful Treptower Park. We strongly recommend to use public transportation to get to the venue. The location will be waymarked. Please be aware, that large parts of the venue are currently not barrier-free.
