The AWI Periglacial Research Section together with the GFZ Geomicrobiology Section are pleased to host two invited presentations on Carbon Cycle Dynamics in Permafrost Regions.

The seminar will be featured in the lecture hall of AWI building A43 on the Telegrafenberg Campus in Potsdam, from 2-4 pm on Monday, 27th June 2016.

"Permafrost thaw and methane emissions from Arctic lakes"

Dr. Mark Waldrop
(US Geological Survey, Menlo Park, USA)
"Life in ice: microbial communities in frozen active layer and permafrost soils and affects on C cycling processes"
