We hereby cordially invite you to the Geo.X Lecture Series "Introduction to Social Sciences for Natural Scientists"!
The lecture takes place online on Mondays at 1:30pm via Zoom.
The event will offer a 45-minute talk and a 15 - 30 minute Q&A session.
We are happy to have Dr. Flavio D'Abramo, from Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte in Berlin (MPIWG) giving a talk on: "Research ethics in the social sciences"
Flavio D’Abramo has studied philosophy and history of science (medicine and biology), and has undertaken fieldwork in research groups of biologists and epidemiologists, in the clinic with patients and the medical personnel, and in communities experiencing health problems related to the environment. While doing research with scholars with different backgrounds, and sometimes with specific foci on ethics, he has kept inquiring what does it mean to do an ethically and socially sustainable research.
