All people interested are welcome!

Dr. Pedram Ghamisi is the head of the machine learning group at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR). His research interests involve interdisciplinary research on remote sensing and machine (deep) learning, image and signal processing, and multisensor data fusion. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and serves as the Associate Editor of Remote Sensing - MDPI and IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters (IEEE GRSL).He is also the CTO and co-founder of VasoGnosis Inc, Milwaukee, WI, USA, where they develop advanced diagnostic and analysis tools for brain diseases using cloud computing and deep learning algorithms. He is now the co-chair of the IEEE Image Analysis and Data Fusion Committee.

Dr. Pedram Ghamisi obtained an M.Sc. degree with first-class honors in remote sensing at the K.N.Toosi University of Technology in 2012. He received a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Iceland, Reykjavik in 2015. In 2015, Dr. Ghamisi won the prestigious "Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship" and started his work as a postdoctoral research fellow at Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Heidelberg University, Germany from October 2015. He also worked as a research scientist at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) from October 2015 to May 2018. In 2018, Dr. Ghamisi won the prestigious "High Potential Program".
