We would like to draw your attention to the GeoX Early Career Scientist Section workshop on “Online conferences 2021” . The workshop will be on Tuesday the 13th of April between 10-12 h.
The conference season for 2021 is kicking off and for a lot of people this means staying at home while following multiple sessions, giving a talk of presenting a poster, following a workshop, networking etc.
So what does it mean to join an online conference? What are the benefits and what are the negative sides? Some of you may have joined an online conference last year and perhaps have questions on how things have been improved.
- Peter van der Beek (University of Potsdam, Chair of the EGU Programme Committee) “Organising vEGU21: Challenges and Opportunities”
- Michael Dietze (GFZ) “Short courses and town hall meetings”
- Valby van Schijndel (University of Potsdam) “Online, Hybrid or On site?”
- Anne Schöpa (GFZ) “Hands-on practice in presenting your research in 4 sentences”
The workshop will be held by ZOOM and the link will be sent to you after registration.
Please register by sending a short email with your name and affiliation to this address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Here you can also submit any questions you would like to be addressed during the workshop.
