Geophysics Seminar talk by Yoshizumi Miyoshi: “Overview of the Arase / ERG project and highlight results”

  Scientific Talks

Date: Friday, 6rd of March 2020, 11:00 a.m.

Venue: GFZ Campus Telegrafenberg Potsdam, building A42, room 129-130

Host: Department of Geophysics, Helmholtz Centre Potsdam, GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences

Speaker: Prof. Yoshizumi Miyoshi, Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research, Nagoya University, Japan

All people interested are cordially invited.

The Arase satellite has observed inner magnetosphere and radiation belts since March 2017 and found various interesting phenomena about particle acceleration, transportation and loss via wave-particle interactions.

Multi-point measurements from coordinated observations with Van Allen Probes, DSX and other satellites as well as ground-based network observations have also been realized.

In this presentation, we would like to present overview of the Arase / ERG project and show some highlight results and discuss future plans.
