Digital Earth Summer School “Realizing Data Science"

Target Audience: The summer school is addressed to advanced PhD candidates and Postdocs from Earth Sciences with a strong commitment to Data Science.

  • A one-page letter of motivation for participation

Today’s research questions – especially when addressing the most significant, transdisciplinary research challenges – can only be answered by using a broad range of skills related to data. This includes common principles and practices of research data management, the use of a range of data platforms and infrastructures, data processing, large scale analysis, visualization techniques, software development and annotation and more.

This Digital Earth Summer School is designed to provide a real understanding of fundamental principles and methods of Data Science to enhance the quality of your research output.  It offers training in essential skills of Data Science related to Earth Sciences by using a multidisciplinary approach that bridges science disciplines and Earth spheres.
