IODP/ICDP colloquium - GESEP School
IODP and ICDP as well as national funding programs will continue to offer opportunities for terrestrial and marine scientific drilling projects. The GESEP course aims to provide basic insight and hands-on training on SCIENTIFIC DRILLING for early career scholars in Earth sciences.
The key aspects of this course will comprise:
- Proposal and project planning
- Management of drilling operations
- Geophysical borehole logging and monitoring
- Core description, investigations methods, and instruments
- Sample and data management
GESEP and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft invite graduate and PhD students as well as Post-doc scientists to apply. Please send a short CV, your motivation and a letter of support to the GESEP coordinator Ulrich Harms.
