Dear Geo.X Early Career Community,

We are happy to officially announce our Geo.X summer workshop followed by a BBQ together with the Young Hydrologists on Friday, 12th July at FU Geocampus Lankwitz. This year’s workshop will be about science communication. We invited Dr. Emanuel Wyler (Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine) for a science communication seminar from 4pm to 6pm (room G110). Dr. Wyler conducts research in the field of gene regulation. He also runs a blog and likes to get involved in science communication. For our Geo.X BBQ, we invited Dr. Katrin Vohland (Natural History Museum, Berlin) who will join us for an informal Q&A session about science communication. Dr. Vohland chairs the Museum and Society department at the Natural History Museum and is the research director of the Public Engagement with Science research programme.

16:00 - Workshop on Science Communication with Dr. Emanuel Wyler

18:00 - BBQ and informal Q&A with Dr. Katrin Vohland. Meet the ECS members, network and socialize! (Backyard of Building G)
