Requirements
Applicants are expected to have a MSc, a German "Diplom" or an equivalent degree by the time they will start at GeoSim (current round: April 1st, 2012). It is not necessary to have completed your degree by the time you submit your application.
If your native language is neither English nor German, you must submit a proof of English language proficiency. This is not required if you have attended a school, university or college where English is the language of instruction. Every applicant needs two letters of recommendation. After registration you will receive a PDF with information which you may send to your referees.
We ask the applicants to write a statement of research interest. The applicants should have a detailed idea of their dissertation area and who may be a possible supervisor within GeoSim. Please refer to the information about GeoSim and the participating groups on the About and Partners pages.
The Application Guidelines provide more detail on admission Requirements.
Only complete applications respecting the checklist in the Application Guidelines will be considered.
