Welcome to the graduate research school GEOSIM
The graduate research school GEOSIM is funded by the Helmholtz association and grants from its home institutions: GFZ Potsdam, Freie Universität Berlin and Universität Potsdam. Earth scientists and mathematicians from these institutions have joined forces to provide training and conduct research in the field of Explorative Simulation in Earth Sciences.
Our goal is to train a new generation of outstanding young scientists based on a strong collaboration that will systematically link methodological expertise from the areas of Earth and Mathematical Sciences.
GEOSIM started on April 1st, 2011. Currently 23 PhD students from 9 countries and 3 continents have been granted a fellowship, working on subjects ranging from climate to hydrology to solid earth. See the 'About' pages for more information.
We will open a new application round this fall (application deadline in October, start in April 2013). A call will be published in various media, more information will be available under 'Admission'.
